# 2015 LEZATHLON: We want to sponsor you! [HER Team](/content/author/her-team/ "Posts by HER Team"/index.html) May 27, 2015 LA-based [Lezlympics](http://www.lezathlon.com/) founder, Morgan Faye, started the epic competition as a way to celebrate her birthday outside of the traditional bar scene in 2012. “A normal day in the park,” she’d hoped. Morgan made the festivities an open event on [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/events/637424536401850/) ’cause, ya know, who doesn’t want _more_ lesbians at their birthday party? Much to her (pleasant) surprise, the park was soon packed with lezzies just dying to hop in a potato sack or, better yet, the oil wrestling ring. The 2015 games will include: the Obstacle Course, Wheelbarrow Races, Pop My Balloon, Oil Wrestling, Trivia, and Tug of War! Think you and 9 of your closest (buffest) friends can cut it? Well, so do we! And to prove it we are going to sponsor an entire team ($350 value). Whether you’re already registered or you’ve been thinking about it (i.e. waiting for this very opportunity) HER has got you covered. The ride raises money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS annually and this year it will run from May 31st – June 6th. YOU and your team can be a part of that and HER can’t wait to help you!
